The dangers and consequences of distracted driving. Distracted driving has become one of the highest fatality rates for drivers nationwide. In fact, it ranks higher than drunk driving fatalities. The most common driver distraction in both personal and commercial fleet vehicles is cell phones. While there are many other distractions in the vehicle in addition to cell phones, the list seems to grow every day. These include eating snacks, and meals, checking and applying makeup, and if our hair is out of place. Distractions can also be found outside of the vehicle.
